Etsy site in process

I have been diligently plodding away at putting together an Etsy site.  I say plodding because I have limited user skills and it takes me a long time and lots of trial & error to figure things out.  However, I have successfully managed to follow the directions and have actually put it together.  There are only a few eggs posted thus far but more will go up today and, hopefully, by next week I will have the felting and jewelry up as well.

My husband, Raphael, is very proud of me because I have not been leaning on him for help.  He did design the banner for me though as it was way beyond my skill level.

Once it is up and everything is listed I will wait and see if anything actually sells.  I named my storefront CrystalHeartCreation.  I must say, finding a name was one of the hardest things to do because so many options were already taken.

Wish me luck!

It's all about the eggs

Thank you all so much for the comments, questions and encouragement.  I am having a great time doing this and it is, in fact, getting my creativite juices going!  I have finished two new eggs, (they need to be photographed)  have a custom egg all painted and one more ready to start painting.  Hurrah!  Here are some eggs that were done recently.

The first egg is a green duck with pearls and inset with three sapphire stones.  It also has essence of sapphire inside. It is about 2 inches high.

The second egg  is a goose egg set with turquoise.  This one is extra special because it is truly a Medicine Egg.  It holds fur from a white buffalo, stones representing the 4 Directions and energy of Sacred Fire.  It is a larger egg, about 4".  I am not sure who will end up with this egg.  I am holding it back and am just going to wait and see.

The third egg is a little pheasant egg that is about 1"high.  I love doing the small eggs and put just as much energy into them as the bigger ones.  When I have time, I make natural nests for them out of mosses and lichen.  They look so sweet in a natural setting, very magical.

The pink egg is another duck and I put in in this selection because its pink and sparkly.

Egg number 5 is an Emu egg that was a custom order.  It is quite a large egg.  Not as big as an ostrich but almost.  It turned out beautiful.  It has pearls and is inset with quite a lot of Mother of Pearl.

I love doing custom eggs for people.  It is such an honor and it is alway amazing what manifests and comes through for them.  So that's it for now.

Love to all.  Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Fun Fuzzy Friends - Needlefelting

I just love needlefelting.  It is one of my favorite new-found crafts.  It is realitively inexpensive, lightweight, and I can do it while watching a movie.  Although needlefelting can be done as a flat piece, I seem to be drawn to doing more sculptural, three dimensional forms.

I started with animals and have worked my way up to doing dolls.  Love doing dolls.  The Asian cutie pictured above is about 3 1/2" high.  She has a long black braid down her back.  I call the blond doll "Bette Midler".  She is a bigger scale, about 8" and sports an amythest necklace and earrings.  The little woodland lad I call a Hobbit (notice his feet) and he is about 4" as is his sweetheart in the green dress.

My favorite I have done thus far is a doll of Freida Kahlo.  She is the same scale as Bette about 8".  She has hoop earrings and a chunky turquoise necklace.  I am thinking of putting the yellow flowers across the whole front of her bodice, what do you think?

Needlefelting is definately a fun craft.  I am considering teaching a class since I have had several requests and have the space & time to do it.  I'll keep you posted on plans for that.

I have done some felting with a spiritual nature as well.   I call this "Lilith Tree".  It is about 11" high.  The top of the tree is made up of pregnant feminine forms. spirals and faces.  Spirals form at the base of the tree and move upward to form the feminine form of Lilith.  The Tree has one perfect red apple and inside the trunk of the tree, at it's base is a packet that holds the blessings of lavendar, rose, corn, and all the things that I put into the eggs.  The prayers held inside this tree are for the integration of Lilith (wild, untamed and expansive feminine nature) with Eve (nurturing, passive mothering nature) .

Hope you have enjoyed looking at my fuzzy friends.

Goddess Promise Eggs

Goddess Promise Eggs are each unique and carry specific energy and prayers.  The shells used are all organic from free range chickens, ducks, turkeys, & geese.  Occasionally, eggs from other species such as pheasant and quail eggs, emu or ostrich eggs are also used.

Each egg is created as a sacred object and has been smudged with white sage, sung into, and imbued with prayers and affirmations.  Lavendar is placed inside for sweetness, rose petals for beauty, white copal for protection, purification and consecration, frankincense & myrrh for spirituality.  A small piece of snake skin in placed inside for transformation, corn for creativity and mustard seeds for faith and abundance.

The egg is then dedicated with a specific energy and specific prayers that are unique to that particular egg.  It is then sealed and set with stones, pearls, beads, rhinestones or a combination.  A certificate is then typed up numbering the egg and explaning what is inside and why.  Each egg holds a vibration that is intended to facilitate connection to your highest expression of self.

The pictured eggs are: Duck egg with pearls - Duck egg with Turquoise - Duck egg with Sunstones
Goose egg with pearls and Goose egg with Emeralds

I do lots of custom eggs as well.  Working with the eggs and the energy that comes with them is one of my greatest joys.  Each one is a vessel of Creation.

Blessings of light, love and laughter
